This position exists to: 1) coordinate the school district levy limitation and certification process; 2) administer components of the general education program; 3) develop projection systems, databases and narratives for budgeting for these programs; 4) provide support to state policy makers and consultation to local program administrators; 5) conduct education finance research, analysis, and policy development; and 5) provide lead direction to less experienced staff.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in educational administration, finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, business administration, public affairs, accounting or related field; AND
Three years of professional experience involving the administration, development, or analysis of public finance policy at the federal, state, regional, or local level.
At least one year of this experience must involve (Master's degree may substitute for this year of experience): Work in a federal, state or regional agency with responsibility for providing direct assistance to local agencies with finance, financing and fiscal operations for K-12 programs or property tax administration; OR
Work which contributed directly to K-12 education funding or property tax policy decision-making at the state or federal level; OR
Work in a local agency providing K-12 or administering property tax calculations with responsibility for budgeting and fiscal operation.
Experience with data query and statistical software such as MS Access, SQL, SPSS, or related software and strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing, preferably MS Excel and Word.
