Job Description:   The position is responsible for the coordination of registration staff with related activities in the Section, other state agencies, agencies of other state governments and federal agencies in the area of securities, securities licensure, subdivided land and franchising. Responsibility to set and implement policy, regulation and statute in relation to registration activities in conjunction with the Director of Securities and the existing enforcement/examination activities of the Section. The position reviews and approves licensure of broker dealers, investment advisors, broker dealer agents, investment advisor representatives and oversees registration activities in the area of franchising and subdivided land.

Minimum Qualifications:   Candidates must meet all of the following in order to be considered:

BA with emphasis in law or business AND at least three years of professional experience involving securities regulation and compliance AND leadership experience involving management of people or projects OR at least six years of professional experience involving securities regulation and compliance and leadership experience involving management of people or projects.

Proven knowledge of securities laws and regulations

Strong analytical skills

Strong writing skills

Proficiency with technology

Preferred Qualifications:   Advanced degree in either business or law

Prior management experience

Fluent in a foreign language (e.g., Spanish, Russian, Somali, Chinese or Vietnamese)
