This position is located in the Finance and Facilities Management Division.
This position exists to perform volume purchasing of various assigned supplies, equipment, and services for the Minnesota Department of Health in accordance with applicable statutes, policies, and procedures. This position is responsible for coordinating the agency wide Innovative Office Solution contract, orders are placed daily by several program activities throughout the Agency. The incumbent also processes all purchase order notifications in the State Register for all outgoing grant and contract opportunities as required by state law.
Knowledge of governmental or large organizational policies and procedures for procurement of various goods and services.
General proficiency with MAPS procurement system, especially AGPS and GFS, and/or other large accounting/purchasing systems.
Authority for Local Purchasing (ALP) at the $10,000 level or other examples and demonstration of work with bidding processes, requirements, and forms at this dollar level.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
