Job Description:   The Technology Director for Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management will provide a strategic vision and leadership for technology in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and Information Technology Services. This position works directly with the Associate Vice President of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. This position will develop, manage, and implement the technology vision for the division. This position is required to have a very specific knowledge of teaching and learning pedagogies and higher education business practices. This position will analyze existing business process, pedagogies, and data requirements, research solutions and translate them into IT initiatives, and offer new and innovative practices that will significantly impact the way the college/university does business. This position will also provide executive level leadership for technology innovation, pedagogical effectiveness, and research. As a project manager this position will facilitate project management for all technology related projects within the college and across the University.

1. Provide the technology leadership and the strategic plan that furthers the vision and mission of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, the University, and Information Technologies. This position will develop new business practices, policies, standards, and systems that meet the teaching, enrollment, and retention needs of the college and the University. This is a dual role position that also analyzes existing IT and university business process and data requirements and translates them into IT requirements.

2. Project management for division, University, and System-wide initiatives.

3. Assume other responsibilities as required to fulfill the organizational mission in a timely and accurate manner.

-Bachelors Degree or equivalent higher degree
-5 years of experience working in higher education environment
-Proven examples of leadership and strategic planning
-Extensive knowledge of educational technologies and the teaching methods behind them
-The ability to analyze and recommend new technologies and procedures
-Expansive knowledge of software and applications available for instruction
-Experience creating an environment conducive to consensus building and conflict resolution
-Project management experience with large complex projects (buildings or IT focused projects)
-Budget management skills
-Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:   -Masters Degree or PhD.
-Proven supervisory experience
-Experience teaching at the college level
-2-3 years of experience working in the business field
-Experience working directly with the division or college
-Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, PMI or PMP
