This position is located in the Well Management (WM) Section of the Environmental Health (EH) Division.
This position performs hydrologic and/or hydrogeologic data collection, data analysis and program administration work in order to promote the protection of the state's water resources and public health.
Job Responsibilities include:
Designing hydrologic field investigations to ensure that accurate and appropriate physical and hydrologic data is available for use by department administrators in making water resources management and public health protection decisions.
Conducting hydrologic data analysis and interprets results to support development of informational resources to promote protection of groundwater and public health.
Drafting reports, including narratives, illustrations and graphic displays, for management.
Bachelor's degree in hydrology, hydrogeology, geology, water science,
soil science, environmental science, or environmental health.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Requires a Class D Driver's License: a single unit vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,000 pounds. This is a basic driver's license. Operators may also tow vehicles/trailers as long as the a gross combination weight does not exceed 26,000 pounds.
