Job Description:   This position exists to direct and supervise the janitorial/custodial staff and general services operations of the college to ensure the college buildings are maintained properly and efficiently. This position is responsible for assisting with and maintaining the budget of the custodial / janitorial maintenance department. This position is responsible for work assignments, employee reviews and monitoring employee effectiveness, equipment and product recommendation and evaluations. This position will coordinate building needs for facility activities, special events, emergencies and all other facility and grounds related activities. This position exists to provide evening supervision during the regular school year and day supervision during breaks.

Minimum Qualifications:   -Position requires excellent leadership skills.
-A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience necessary.
-Incumbent must possess a State of Minnesota Boilers? License of at least a ?Special? class.
-Incumbent must possess a thorough knowledge of the buildings custodial/janitorial practices, procedures and equipment.
-Position requires excellent organizational skills in order to maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and to order supplies as required.
-Position requires computer skills sufficient to complete tasks in an efficient manner, using MnSCU and/or State systems as well as other applications used in the course of work (email, web applications and word processing, etc.

-Boiler Engineer Special License.
Preferred Qualifications:   -A minimum of 3 years of experience supervising staff, preferably in a maintenance department.
