Job Description:   This position will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of web applications, database queries, data integration and SharePoint form and workflow services. This position will be responsible for understanding and implementing usability, quality assurance, and accessibility principles. This position should understand agile project management or other project management concepts.
Minimum Qualifications:   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-Strong level of skill in web service and application development, programming, and database queries, workflows, user interface development, and mobile development.
-Strong combination of some of the following technology skills:
Some programming combination of: Java, C#,.NET, PHP, XML, SOAP
Service Oriented Architecture, REST architecture, Mashups
HTML5, JQuery, CSS3, JavaScript
Mobile Development (Apple, Android)
Strong database queries, stored procedure, views, programmable procedures with: (SQL, MySQL)
Visual Studio, Dreamweaver, or other development tools
Portal Services (Microsoft SharePoint)
Knowledge of usability, accessibility, and quality assurance principles
Security (intranet, authentication, authorization) - OWASP
Agile project management with scrum practices

Excellent verbal and written communication skills:
Able to explain complex concepts verbally and in writing to people with varying levels of experience and knowledge.
Able to work in close consultation with Web & Information Services, Computer Services, and Virtual Campus staff with regard to technology decisions.
The position requires an individual who is self-motivated, can work independently, as well as work with a team.
Proficient time and project management skills.

Problem Solving & Creativity
The Web Developer must possess the ability to recognize and address the following types of problems and concerns in managing and enhancing the large scale web site:
1. The limitations and applicability of tools and approaches;
2. The appropriateness of designs for specific purposes; and
3. The criteria and methods to evaluate alternative designs.

The Web Developer should display vision and creativity in the design and enhancement of the college web site.

Preferred Qualifications:   -Bachelor?s Degree (or higher) in computer science, web technology, programming, or graphic design.
-At least 5 years of web technology, programming, or graphic design experience.
